Taking advantage of Birmingham’s unique place within the history of the Civil Rights Movement, I arranged for students to make a trip to the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.  You can learn more about this particular classroom innovation, and read some of the students’ impressions, in the “Meet the Magic City” section of this site.
